What does this mean? The slashdot crowd hasn't even weighed in on this yet (11:00 PM central).
Does this mean that Gimp is going to get a major overhaul?
Will I be able to get a less expensive version of CS?
Will I be able to compile my own CS (holy crap!)?

The NVIDIA 320m isn't "6 year old tech." Nor are the Toshiba SSD, HD screen, glass trackpad, or OS X 10.6. Get past the mindset that the CPU defines the computer and you'll see that the MacBook Air is a modern device. That said, I would like to see Thunderbolt in the next revision, and undoubtedly it will get Sandy Bridge sometime this year.
Even the 'Core 2' isn't 6 year old technology, its no more '6 year old technology' than Sandy Bridge being little more than a 'extension of 6 year old technology'. The Core 2 is as valid today as it was when it was first released, fine tuned, tweaked, and perfected - to me I don't see it hanging around for 6 years as being bad, I see it as an example of good design that can stand the test of time and deliver great performance to this day. Today the Core 2 is still being sold but under new brands, new names etc. but it is still very much the same.
It will be interesting to see where Sandy Bridge fits into it - whether Apple is waiting for the Intel refresh later this year named Ivy Bridge which will hopefully bring a GPU refresh as well :)

Oh, so when you say it has bugs, you're simply repeating what you hear from others, not actually coming up with any sort of actual original thought based on personal experience? How very American of you.
LOL. Seriously. I have an iPad 2 ... no flickering or battery draining fast, you're actually the first I've heard of it.
My only "issue" with 4.3 is that it's still an iPad, and I'm getting sick of looking at this thing. I have a Xoom too and LOVE it... need to pick one or the other to go back to the store cause carrying both suck. I have a feeling the iPad is going back because I don't believe anyone's going to have a jailbreak for 4.3 in the next several weeks.
+1 on that. I hate when people jump on the bandwagon.

I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about PNY RAM, and $50 is definitely a good deal (and Newegg is the best).

Hello,
I am starting to be really confused with Image, ImageRep, View, GraphicsContext, etc.
On one hand, what I have found in books and blogs focuses mainly on recipes. On the other hand, I am finding the Cocoa Drawing Guide from Apple documentation really overwhelming.
Does anyone has something else to recommend ?
Thanks,
Paul

Not for nothing unless the dev-team makes an explicit statement of releases like muscle nerd usually does, most of those sites and "news postings" are usually wrong. All we know at this point is that geohot doesn't even own an iPad 2 which means we're no where close.

I am receiving the same error on my iPad2. I tried switching networks (yes I have 2 running) and I immediately receive that error message. How annoying !
update: this does however work on my iPhone4 - over 3g. I wonder if it has anything to do with wifi vs 3g connections?

Or you could get a front IS and then save, and then get a case with a rubber lining to prevent scratches.

Anyone go today or planning on going sometime this week? I may try mid week but would love a report before I do.
I don't think they had any today, probably Tuesday and the rest of the week though.
lol those commenters were not happy with you.
I know, I wasn't too surprised though.

Furthermore, Apple said the touch sensitive bezel can be used to obtain touch data corresponding to multiple user controls simultaneously: "For example, the user controls of the bezel can be configured so that one side of the bezel controls brightness with a touch and drag motion by the user, while the other side of the bezel controls contrast with a touch and drag motion by the user. Thus, using both of these sides of the bezel, the user can simultaneously adjust both the contrast and the brightness of the display using touch and drag motions on the sides of the bezel."

Apple noted that its latest filing shows several different configurations of electronic devices, each of which contain certain features, details, and configurations. "However, one skilled in the art will understand that such features, details, and configurations can be used with the various different embodiments, even if such features, details, and configurations were not specifically mentioned in conjunction with a particular embodiment, and that this disclosure contemplates various combinations of the features, details, and configurations disclosed herein," the company wrote. I think we'll be seeing this technology in the bevels of all future Macs and displays. Imagine Mr. Jobs' smug little grin when he adjusts the contrast and brightness of an iMac or Macbook display with a stroke of his finger and knows that no other PC or monitor manufacturer can use it!

I have the same problem! just took my G5 to the apple store and they tried alot of things... booted from an external by holding option... checked the drives, which were supposedly fine according to Disk Utility.
I figured it would either be ram going bad or the drives. so I've switched out the drive and all the ram, and tried to run it off of a friend's drive, but I get a (no smoking logo without the cigarette) in place of the :apple: when booting . I'm guessing it is because the OS installed on the hardrive is 10.6 and thus not supported by the PPC G5.
Now I'm waiting for the disks to get here to troubleshoot with those.
Any ideas guys??

Try the tips here: http://conzone.com/blog/2009/12/mating-a-dell-1110-laser-printer-and-mac-osx/
Never used that printer, so I can't vouch for the solution there, but it looks like good suggestions.
